It’s all aboard at the NC Museum of Life and Science in Durham.
December 4th – 8th, 11th-15th, 18th– 22nd. Families ride the train through a spectacle of lights to see Santa, Mrs. Claus and all the elves. Families can also explore other holiday themed events at the museum including hot chocolate, crafts, a synthetic ice rink and more.

Tickets were on sale in November for this annual and highly coveted Holiday event but you can still snag an off the cuff ticket!
Climb aboard the Ellerbe Creek Railway for a journey to the North Pole. Enjoy a ride through thousands of twinkling lights, an inflatable forest and even a rainbow light tunnel, as you make our way to meet Santa and his elves.

*All ticket changes will result in a $10.00 processing fee per transaction and the difference in ticket price, if any.
$10.00 of each $15.00 ticket, $13.00 of each $18.00, $14.00 of each $19.00 ticket, $17.00 of each $22.00, and $20.00 of each $25.00 ticket is tax-deductible.

Gates open at 5:00 pm and close at 9:00 pm every night.
Trains leave the station every twenty minutes from 5:20 pm through 8:20 pm.
In the spirit of the season, this year the museum is offering a Sensory Friendly Santa Train for little friends on the autism spectrum or with similar sensory issues. Cool down kits, noise-cancelling headphones, and social narratives available upon request.
