Join cookbook author, recipe developer, and cooking teacher Sheri Castle, author of Instantly Southern, for a cooking demonstration taking inspiration from the beautiful Fearrington gardens and local farmer’s markets. This menu emphasizes the abundance of the summer season.
• Pan-Seared Chicken Wrapped in Air-Cured Country Ham with Tomato Beurre Blanc
• Herbed Butterbean and Corn Succotash
• Summer Squash Gratin
• Margarita Pie with Blackberry Compote
This demo will show you how to prepare these recipes, plus tips and tricks to grow your culinary technique.
This class is $75 per person and includes tax and gratuity, and samples of course!
Sheri is back later in August with yet another culinary demonstration. The key to appealing summertime meals for entertaining family and friends is to make dishes ahead to stash in the fridge until it’s time to serve and enjoy the meal. These recipes fill that bill beautifully and deliciously with their cool tastes.
