The word is out about Chatham County. Even Coca-Cola is ready to call our neck of the woods home! Durham Coca-Cola Bottling Company is planning a move to Apex for 2023. The plan is to contrust a state-of-the-art, waste-free facility, bringing upwards of 200 new jobs to the area.

Wolfspeed

Also originally located in Durham, Wolfspeed is another company with eyes on Chatham County. As the global leader in the production of Silicon Carbide materials and devices, Wolfspeed aims to support sustainability through more efficient semiconductor technology. Their eco-conscious business practices come in handy when creating parts for electric vehicles and growing 5G networks. Their new facility in Chatham County aims to create 1,800 new jobs, with a projected $5 billion dollars of projected investment in the region.

Vinfast

We’ve already detailed Vinfast’s exciting new plans for a plant in Chatham County. Construction of the $4 billion facility is underway, with a completion date of 2025. It is estimated that the company will bring in more than 7,500 new jobs to the area.

MOSAIC

New residents who move to the area for jobs with the aforementioned companies will need a place to live, work, and play. Undoubtedly, that place will be the MOSAIC district. Already partially open, the mixed-use development serves as a gateway to Chatham Park. Enjoy delicious food and drinks, walk or bike around the one mile trail, and shop at unique boutiques. This pedestrian-friendly hub is truly the heart of Chatham County and will only continue to grow over the next few years.
