UNC Health Adds to Growing Chatham Park

Calling the Triangle a hot market is an understatement. These days, it seems that everyone wants to move here! As housing in Raleigh and Durham proper either escalates in price or dwindles in supply, formerly small outlying communities are bearing the load of growth.

One of those communities is Pittsboro. Formerly a small farming and manufacturing town, Pittsboro is rapidly becoming a cultural center for Chatham County, just southwest of the Triangle’s two major cities. It is the site of the 7,100 acre Chatham Park, a massive new master-planned community that aims to put Pittsboro on the map in a big way.

One of the most important steps in developing Chatham Park is to provide additional services to its residents. UNC Health recently opened its first rheumatology and urgent care offices there, bringing healthcare to this new community for the first time. Not only that, but it marks the first open building at MOSAIC, a mixed-use development that serves as a gateway to Chatham Park.

About the UNC Offices

UNC Health is the largest academic health system in North Carolina, with 3,200 physicians, 11 hospitals, and 350 clinics. Operating since its original hospital opening in 1952, UNC Health benefits significantly from its academic heritage: the School of Medicine’s is ranked first in the nation in primary care.

The Urgent Care office is open 8am-8pm, 7 days a week. The rheumatology office – which specializes in muscle and joint issues – is open Monday through Friday.

About MOSAIC

As one of the premier developments in Chatham Park, MOSAIC is a mixed-use community scheduled for completion in 2024. Emphasizing walkability and a live-work-play lifestyle, MOSAIC will offer apartments, condominiums, restaurant and office space, entertainment venues, and more within its 44 acres.
