Chatham County Neighborhood Reviews

The Absolute Realty team works with builders, buyers and sellers in a number of amazing Chatham County neighborhoods. In an effort to give you some more information from some of our favorites we have compiled breakdowns and videos to give you a better feel for each! This blog post will be focusing on The Estates at Laurel Ridge, River Forest and Morgan Ridge.

The Estates at Laurel Ridge

Currently under construction in Pittsboro – just west of Raleigh – The Estates at Laurel Ridge is a community of luxurious custom homes crafted by three builders known for elegant details and superior quality. The community leverages the less-developed, scenic nature of the Pittsboro area to grant homeowners estate-sized lots of up to 10 acres. A number of these lots are designated as “equestrian lots” with plenty of room and proper utility hookups for a horse stable!

The landscape is integrated into the homesites in several other ways. Roughly half of the homesites have a view and/or direct access to Dry Creek, a stream that connects to the Haw River. Native longleaf pines also dot the landscape for a rustic, country feel.

River Forest

As Raleigh, Durham, and even smaller cities like Cary have grown, homebuyers have sought peace and quiet in the Triangle’s outlying communities. These small towns offer a beautiful counterpoint to the Triangle’s busiest areas. Pittsboro, situated just outside Chapel Hill, is just such a community, and River Forest is just such a neighborhood.

Currently under construction and in presale, the homes of River Forest feature wooded homesites along Wilkinson Creek, which connects to the Haw River. The community’s unique position between Chapel Hill and Downtown Pittsboro put you within reach of both a Triangle staple community and an up-and-coming small town, but with the peace and quiet that comes from living a bit out of the way.

Morgan Ridge

If you live in the Triangle, you’ll likely spend some time in Carrboro. Whether you’re checking out the local art scene, grabbing dinner, or attending a UNC basketball game, you’ll almost certainly pass through this arm of Chapel Hill. Leave to the South and you’ll notice Main Street turns into Jones Ferry Road. Travel that road and it won’t be long before you reach Morgan Ridge.

A new development currently under construction, Morgan Ridge is literally a straight shot from downtown Carrboro and Chapel Hill: close enough to visit, far enough to get away. The custom-built, luxurious homes and wooded lots are perfect for buyers who want the best of both worlds.
