Did you know that Saint Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland. His history is a sad one as he was kidnapped from Britain as a teenager and sold as a slave to a landowner in Ireland. From there he was survived and worked as shepherd until he fled back to Britain where he studied in a monastery to become a priest and later a bishop. He returned to Ireland to preach about Christianity and used the three parts of the clover (shamrock) leaf as a way to explain the holy trinity to the masses. The shamrock is still a symbol of Saint Patrick and Ireland to this day.
So don’t miss out on some old fashioned Irish fun in honor of the land of green!
