Fun this Saturday July 20th at the House of Hops in Pittsboro

Pittsboro is home to such a wide array of summertime activities. There is literally something for everyone to enjoy from local food, to cultural events, art, etc. and with the expansion of the county’s footprint, there are more opportunities to enjoy. 

This weekend one of the newer Pittsboro businesses in the Penguin Place complex, welcomes several special events you won’t want to miss. The House of Hops has two special events for locals to enjoy this Saturday July 20th

The day’s events kick off with Pups and Pints from 1-3PM.This monthly event is sponsored by Chatham Animal Rescue & Education (CARE). CARE will occasionally have dogs available for adoption at this event so check on the website for more information beforehand. 

Pups and Pints is a monthly opportunity for dog owners and folks looking to own a dog, to mix and mingle. Dog vendor Just 4 Dogs Mobile Dog Treats will be on hand with treats for your fur babies- for purchase of course. And you can take advantage of the oodles of beers on tap while your fur baby mingles. 

All dog breeds are welcome. But only on a non-retractable leash no longer than 6 feet. Unruly or excessive barking pups will the asked to step outside until he/she can relax. 

The other event hosted by The House of Hops is Live Music: Sounds of Saturday at House of Hops from 6-9 PM. The Sounds of Saturday is also a reoccurring event that features various local artists! Every Saturday enjoy FREE live music on the patio. This event is kid-friendly. Arrive early to order a drink, dinner from The Root Cellar Cafe & Catering PBO and get a seat. This Saturday will feature Marie Vanderbeck Trio.

The House of Hops is a family owned beer retail store with multiple locations in the Triangle. They have over 400 canned or bottled beer to choose from and 24 rotating beers on tap. They provide regular entertainment either in house (with special events as well as family friendly games) or on the patio.
