If you haven’t already headed out the state fairground in Raleigh, than this is the weekend to do so. The State Fair is happening now through the 27th of October.
Whether you are interested in the animals exhibits, live music and dancing, the impressive array of fair food or the rides- there really is something for everyone. The agriculture exhibits are particularly amazing with displays of award winning pumpkins and melons as well shows of animals- including a chance to milk a cow with the NC State Dairy Club!
The NC fair has some endemic items this year for you as well including a folk festival, fireworks, flower & garden show, local wine and craft beer exhibit, grandstand shows and more. New for 2019 is the nation’s tallest mobile Ferris Wheel, measuring in at 155 feet (that’s 62 feet taller than Dorton Arena!).
Tickets are $6 in advance and $7 at the fair, and are not included in the unlimited rides wristband. Held annually at State Fairgrounds, 1025 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raleigh, NC.
Future N.C. State Fair Dates: October 15-25, 2020; October 14-24, 2021; October 13-23, 2022
