The populated Triangle/Piedmont area is alive with the Christmas Spirit this month- and its poised for you to buy! From Wake to Alamance county, there are a plethora of Holiday markets and Christmas Bazaars to find your hand made, specialty item to stun the folks on your shopping list. If you are a live or die Black Friday shopper consider stepping out of your comfort zone to find something unique while supporting local crafters. If hand made isn’t your thing, the Saturday after Thanksgiving is Small Busy Saturday so extend your shopping spree and check out the shops in your local downtown for free samples, sales, snacks and more!
Check out a sampling of the market schedules below. But first, here are a few tips to make your shopping experience a little easier- especially for first timers:
- Come early or plan ahead to find good parking! A lot of markets are in areas that don’t have a lot of free parking.
- Bring your own bag. Not only is this environmentally friendly but a lot of small vendors won’t have the time or resources for bags.
- Bring cash. In crowded markets, it is much faster as most vendors will be using Squarespace which takes a little longer to process credit transactions.
- Bring a friend! It is way more fun to share in the holiday spirit!
